Scat back that caught the ball well out of the backfield in the Dome. He did zero on the ground. 3rd down back IMO.

You really have no idea what your talking about, especially if your basing your opinion off of one game.

I know you saw his performance against WM, but Carencro could get absolutely nothing going.

Alex is a Top 3 Runner to ever come out of Carencro. Some pretty good ones have came through over the years.

Alonzo Landry was a turd who did not like hard work. Alex is 100% dedicated, if Mcneese stays on top of him he will be a star.

Alex will out work whoever is in front of him. Marcus Wiltz cannot hold Alex's jockstrap. I've seen all these guys play in HS.

Not really about working hard on the field. We're talking about the classroom.

Prom, Alex is a better player out of HS than Quinten Lawrence was. Not the physical attributes, because Quinten was a 4.3 40 inch vertical kinda guy.

Harder worker than Quinten as well. Quinten had awful grade out of HS, and he did well.

Q also came from a tougher home situation.

Alonzo thought he was too good for McNeese. He didn't want to be there. Alex is the kinda of kid who will appreciate all the help he can get to be successful.

He is a true leader, Mcneese is very lucky to get a kid like him. He's legit, and I look forward to seeing him as a cowboy. I think you'll be a big fan.

So you want to base it on games where his OL just bullied the competition, giving him huge holes? He's good in space, but got completely shut down in the biggest game of the year. Do you think West Monroe is better than college defenses?

To be fair, it's not like the OL won't open holes for him at the college level either.

If he knows how to find holes (that's what she said), then he wouldn't be a terrible back.

Why So Serious? :rimshot:

Not trying to be mean. Just speaking on what I saw with my own eyes live, not on tape. He had 43 yards rushing and had 36 receiving on 3 catches. I think he can be a viable receiving threat out of the backfield. Just don't see him as an every down back in college.

JJ,

Yes, I think that WM defense can rival some college defenses!

WM's front 7 dominated Carencro from start to finish.

He is going to be 5'10 200+, he's definately a everydown back. You don't rush for just south of 3,000 yards in 5A football and just be "meh".

I think Briscoe is pretty excited to live in Miami, and be a part of DA SWAGGA.

I honestly see him being more successful as a OT or OG on the O-line.

Agree. I am not a huge high school stat guy, but you have to atleast look at his productivity given the competition he faced in 5A. Not easy running the ball against Acadiana, West Monroe, etc.

I think it's safe to say that Brody Burkhalter is going to be a Mcneese Cowboy. He visited there not too long ago and really liked it. The addition of this guy would be monstrous for this team. The kid is Division 1 caliber and here is why: he started 3 years for a Louisiana High School Powerhouse (Parkview Baptist), he is a LEGIT 4.5 speed at 220 lbs. And the guy is incredibly athletic. I could personally see him transferring to a school like Penn State, Notre Dame, or Iowa and playing Strong Safety. Remember this kid's name people. He just might be famous.

To compare Alex to Alonzo is an absolute joke. Alex will not allow himself to fail. His work ethic is as good as any kid you'll ever see. He made some mistakes grade wise early his in high school career but has been much better over the last two years. It was just a lil to late. McNeese is getting a steal. They are getting a top notch RB who will easily be they hardest worker they hav on their team. They are getting a player who was just as happy making a TD springing block vs. ouachita as he was with any of his 2800+ yards and 33 TDs. They are getting an absolutely great kid who will make every McNeese fan happy to say he is a Cowboy.
