Isnt it obvious we need to go back to a Dual Threat QB?
Last 4 national championships had Dual Threat QB for both teams

We need to go to whatever QB the OC wants.

Clemson won because they were able to make plays in the passing game. Alabama's freshman qb made some plays with his legs but didn't have many plays in the passing game.

QB who can make plays downfield seems to be the key. I don't think you need a QB that has running plays designed for him.

the only thing that is obvious; is that you need whatever QB fits your personnel.

Completing passes is a pre requisite to being a DT QB.

It's been awhile since we've had a QB like that. At least under Miles

Exactly. But somebody who can make plays with their feet when the pocket collapses

The last 7 times Alabama has lost has been to a dual threat QB. I think that's pretty telling.

Jamies Winston wasn't DT either. Athletic, yes, & could run, but not a DT QB

We need to recruit the best QB's. Doesn't matter what you classify them as, they just need to be good. And we need as many as we can get (2 per class is what I like to see)

It's all about oline play, we block bama's front 7 better we put up points. Everything starts with the oline.

and if you go back an additional 2 years, the previous 6 NCAA Champions, you have:

Deshaun Watson - DT
Jake Coker - Pro Style
Cardale Jones - Big, not a true DT (38 yards rushing in championship game)
Jameis Winston - Big, not a true DT (26 yards rushing in championship game)
AJ McCarron - Pro Style
AJ McCarron - Pro Style

So....

I do agree that Bama sturggles against QBs that can tuck it and run. I'd rather an accurate QB that can hit passes at each level and can run competently, but doesn't have to be Mike Vick out there.

That isn't necessarily a "dual threat" QB. There's a bit of confusion when people use that term. Some people use DTQB as an run-option QB. Others use that term only to mean mobile QB. So, to be clear, a pass-first QB, that can use his legs to get out if trouble is a plus. I'm not on board with an run-option QB.

You need a QB that can bet a team with his arm whether athletic or not. But if said QB is a threat running the ball will keep a defense on it's heels.

I've been preaching the power of a running quarterback for years. I agree. WE NEED someone who can stretch the defense and make them account for that extra runner. Particularly inside the red zone. Just like Jalen H. burned us...come on down, Lindsey Scott.
