Just an opinion. Going by the statistics. Distance is usually the biggest swaying point for top recruits and an overwhelming majority has their decisions based on that alone.

The problem with Willis is it got worse for LSU when he didn't commit on the spot. All that initial "wow" fades away when you have time to collect your thoughts and think about it. I believe the longer he waited, he realized distance will be a problem and so he's going to UCLA now.

But that goes both ways. I think the fact that he didn't commit on the spot this weekend is good news for us, but who knows.

Man everyone of the recruiting guys who follow this stuff is say Willis to UCLA.

Shea said he now believes that it will be UCLA. Last week he said he really thought Willis was all LSU.

So it's not the LSU fans the word is coming from all sources.

LSU has a lot in our favor. The fact LSU is a NFL making machine, one of the top places for his major, SEC, play for championships, amazing atmosphere, etc. We have a lot in favor but I just can't get over the hump when it comes to distance. It's tough to sway top recruits in the West even for a program like LSU. I think culture barriers is another major problem. UCLA isn't exactly a shite campus either...they sit right by Bel Air and Santa Monica.

LSU visiting him after the commit just means we're going to recruit him regardless who he commits to. That happens all the time.

Nobody really knows unless they live with Willis. Hell, they might not even know.

I've heard he's been a silent commit to UCLA for a while.

UCLA's campus is about a 6 hour drive from Tempe, AZ (where Priest is from). That's about the same distance as Baton Rouge is from Memphis, TN (thanks google maps ). Either way, he's leaving home and traveling a pretty decent distance to go to school if its really just between UCLA and LSU

That sort of stuff doesn't tell me shite. WHY do they say he is going to UCLA? Are they just guessing? I don't give a rats arse about anyone's GUESS even if it is their job. No source means it is a guess. I can guess without their help.

What gets me is his family is all LSU from what I hear and see? So with that said,"he may commit to UCLA tom coming off a good visit and Goodman wanting to go there. Just cuz its fresh on him but after we go visit him monday and talk to his family who favor us he may think twice or be swayed by national signing day. Just a rational thought...
