That is why I asked. I want to know what he is being arrested for. Yes tax evasion is illegal. I am asking because Auburn could take out ads in the newspaper for ex-professional football players to come play for them for 500.000 dollars and that wouldn't be illegal.
So instead of asking if tax evasion is illegal, simply say he was arrested for tax evasion. So is that what he was arrested for?

But these are just the initial charges. When you give $100K to someone on a promise that cannot be enforced in a court, the people involved will find other ways to "enforce" the promises. Some of this could involve blacklisting and physical intimidation.
