VJ is insane. Montverde doesn’t give Curtis a chance to show all he’s capable of. But I love the effort and defense

I was thinking the same thing. Wish we could see the ball in Curtis' hands more. Vyctorius is a flat out scorer though

This thread is about securing a great piece for the future.

You can take the negativity or McMahon hate back to the rant or the MSB

McMahon’s recruiting, from day 1, hasn’t been bad. Doing something with it has been the problem. Either he is going to be a coach who can win on the court…or he will be Johnny Jones

The transfers have been average. The recruits have been better, but they need time to develop. All that leads to average results.

Y’all think Country Club of La will let P and Silkk back in with the kid being an LSU star potentially? Or did they burn their bridges back in the late 90s?

CMMs classes have ranked #6, #7, & #6 in the SEC. His transfer classes have ranked #4 & #9 nationally and #2 & #3 in the SEC (Not enough info for the '24 transfer class). So, according to the experts, CMM should probably be putting a tournament team on the floor next season but this is a discussion for another thread.

Largely due to quantity though.

Curtis Givens is supposedly the 5th best point guard coming out of high school based on his AAU play.

I agree.

And I hope I'm not speaking too early, but give McMahon credit. He's retained most of his players with remaining eligibility. The only two that have left, Wilkinson and Cook were not unexpected. In a world where even all conference multi-year starters at major conf. schools enter the portal McMahon has (thus far) been able to avoid that.

Assuming that remains the case, this team is going to have more continuity than either of his first two teams. Currently 7 guys from this season's roster are set to return. In today's college basketball that is an anomaly.

Transfer recruiting rankings have proven to be worthless in all sports except baseball. Do y’all just recite this & not pay attention to the results?
