Really nice young man. Tried to talk him into giving me the 42" Apple TV the Outback Bowl gave each player, lol...

After the Jefferson/Lee situation, they have done a much better job recruiting QB's. Signed Meth and Rivers in 11. Got Kiel to commit only to have him stiff them, they then went out and signed 2 QB's in 13, another this year and are recruiting QBs for 15.

They signed 5 OL in 2013, got 2 and pursued a couple of others in 2014 and based on early reports are making OL a huge priority for 2015.

OK....fair enough H-Town Tiger. I'm just playing devil's advocate. You gave a good answer. Thanks for responding.

Minimum of 4
Maximum of 6

Want to make sure the guys are the right fit.

Grimes is leading the charge so I am confident.

You are right about Grimes and I am glad he is now LSU's OL coach. I feel much better about OL recruiting and development with him as coach than his predecessor.

But yes I was also disappointed that only 2 OL signed last week and believe this is a very high priority with the 2015 class which will hopefully be met, I.e. signing at least five OL.

We have a 5* ol locked up... And his 4* cousin. His brother is on board the 14 class. OL will still be a focal point. I'm pretty sure the coaches see what we all see.

Go look at the depth chart....we're fine on OL. Yes, we will need to replenish next recruiting cycle, but we aren't going to be recruiting guys in the 15 class to step in and play right away.

I saw the Burguillos kid from Madeville today and he is going to be a very good player, his feet are incredible!

Sure, we're fine in 2014 and even 2015. In 2016, though, we'll have probably four guys from our current OL roster - Clapp, Brumfield, and whoever from last year's class who's not good enough to go pro. Probably at least one of those four will have turned out to be a dud. That means we'll need two starters and all of the depth to come from our two year guys from the 2015 class. THAT is a pretty desperate situation. It's very equivalent to the DT prospects for the 2014 season.

Another possibility that I have not seen discussed before is moving a current defensive linemen over to offense. I asked someone at the Bayou Bash about this last week.

He thought that one of the three DL who did not get on the field much last season would be the most likely to move, if this becomes necessary. This means maybe Gilmore, Bain or Herron.

Remember in past years, players like Joe Barksdale and Carnell Stewart were moved from DL to OL.
