2 future NFL players. We underachieved.
In Dorsey and Nelson's senior year, they didn't even make the playoffs!
How do you not make the playoffs with the best high school defensive player in the country and a 6'6" 220 pound wr that ran a 4.55 at the NFL combine?
That's how bad ole beasley was.
But yes, Dorsey's sophmore year they were completely loaded... I'm talking should have been in the dome loaded. Most talented EA football team i've ever seen.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I hope everyone is correct about the new talent. I'd like to go to EA games to see EA rather than scout the opposing talent.

That was my junior year. I still remember the STA game we won in overtime. Who did we play in the playoffs?

We made the 3rd round of the playoffs and were like the 6th seed, lost to eventual state champ Redemptorist after beating them in the regular season

I believe this kid will be better than Glen Dorsey
I went to a couple of EA games this year to check out the Alma Mater and I noticed the Simoneaux kid for sure but you should consider editing this post to take this quote out. Glen Dorsey as a Soph was as dominant as it got in 5A football. As others have mentioned it was hard to always double team him with the other talent around him that year. It was also comical when they would stick him a Fullback that year as well.
Palelie is a stud. Its amazing that he had to split time with a thousand yard rusher this year and still produced like he did.

I agree with ya there soda popinski, Dorsey was not as dominate as it got in 5a his Sophmore year. As an alumina and huge EA fan I have watched alot of EA football. I am not trying to deminish anything Dorsey has accomplished at EA, but if you are a EA fan you should know your stats then. Some of these so-called fans that have posted previously just are not in touch with reality. Dorsey was never 6'2" or 6'3" unless he has been shrinking since graduation cause he is definitely 6'1". He also graduated with a bench press max of 350+ and squatted 550. The Simoneaux kid is at 6'2" flatfooted on the ground, he benches 325 as a true sophomore and squats 500...I believe he will surpass Dorsey's marks. The Palelei kid already maxes out over that as well. 350 bench and 550 squat...he is gonna be a blue chip recruit for sure!!! And for all you experts out there...start watching EA football again this upcoming season and then we will talk...and do your homework people!

Yes I am a EA fan and of course I am emotionally vested in my old school

Dorsey was as dominant as a DT can be in 5A football his sophomore year. This Simineaux kid can't sniff Dorsey athletically. He looks like a gear player, but not on Dorsey's level.

His Dad IS a GREAT guy, son AIN'T. I'll never forget when EA scored to make it 46-14 against St Amant his Jr year, (yes, EA had the 14) the older Simoneaux starts skipping and bobbing his head up and down in front of the STA student section. This, my friend, is the epitome of a Douchebag.

Don't want to rain on your son's parade but to say he will be one of the best to come from EA means you don't know much history of that school. Kid is OK, if he wants to play at next level he better be more dominate than that. I mean you got clips of him going against Sarah Reed and he doesn't standout
Palaeli is good, still not sure if he is D1 material

He will be the feature guy this year and if he puts up some really good numbers then the big colleges will be on him. He's good but he's just going into his Jr year.

Small LA school recuits at best

Check back about Paleali this time next year, your tune will change.

Umm Dude ya not raining on my parade. For starters neither kid is my son and if ya clean your glasses and look again, most of the clips from the videos are not Sarah Reed. I really wonder how many of you guys have really played ball??? The Palelei kid is gonna be amazing this year and the Simoneaux boy will turn some heads. As far as knowing my EA history...just ask cause I have been in parish since 1973

OK, who was the best all around back in your opinion - Cornbread Lewis, Jermaine West, Nathan Black or Timmy Delmore?

I will go with Timmy Delmore. As a running back he was quick and could change directions in a blink of an eye. He also was great as a receiver and pick up a ton of all purpose yards. I had the pleasure of knowing and watching this kid play, I wish things would of turned out better for him. Palelei, in my opinion, will be better. The similarities between the two are crazy. Oh and Tim still holds a reception and rushing record at EA.

Cornbread's family member, Ty Lewis. Kid was amazingly talented, but didn't go to a single day of school after his senior year football season.
Ty should have been playing either rb, lb, or a big safety in the SEC. He was committed to mcneese (although he never made it there), but he was much too good for that. I remember watching him play plaquemine when jakouri Williams (Tennessee commit) was there. Ty was far superior than the Williams kid. Wasn't even close. His td where he ran backwards for about 20 yards was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen.
