To argue TCU's relevance in college football is ridiculous. here is the fact they are a cute niche story the last couple years but the reality is no one cares and you guys think you are better then you actually are. you are about to get a dose of reality when you move to one of the big boy conferences and let me tell you patterson will be moving on soon. he knows he cant recruit on the level with these big schools and any college would take him. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but TCU's short hayday is about over.

If the above were true, TCU would never have had the success it has already had. What you don't seem to understand is that TCU does not have to win the recruiting wars to be successful. They have a proven track record on developing players and a commitment to a system that mitigates that. This is why TCU is sending out as many players to the NFL as Texas currently and is not that far away from schools like Oklahoma and LSU in players being drafted.

GP will probably also retire at TCU. He has a pretty sweet deal at TCU and there are only maybe 5 jobs out there that would be a better option for him. Urban Meyer has said that TCU is a top 5 coaching job although I am sure you won't understand that either.

As a program, TCU is in a good position to compete well in the Big12 for at least the next 5 years. The only question is over a longer period when competing against state schools that will dump ridiculous amounts of money into their program to gain any edge and questionable deals like the Longhorn Network which favor the big state schools. Regardless, I think TCU will be solid as long as GP is the coach and then it will depend on the successor chosen.

If you don't think that TCU has been a better football team than UT for the last three years than you have not been paying attention. I believe had TCU been allowed to play Auburn in 2010, they would be national champions. There was only a paper champion in 2010 so spare us the real champion talk. Also, TCU has won a couple of national titles in its distant past so you can deal with that as well.

Squeezing past Wisconsin isn't a convincing enough win to claim they are better than either Auburn or Oregon. A better 2011 Wisconsin team choked again in a BCS bowl. TCU could make a claim of the 1938 championship since the AP poll just started. If you claim a 1935 championship then LSU gets to claim 1908, 1935, 1936 and 1962. We're not Bama, so we don't do that type of shite. I don't really look too much into championships won when Army was a powerhouse. I don't take anything seriously until after the Korean War.

TCU has hit one of its golden ages while playing in a weak conference against weak competition. The Vols are one of the winningest programs ever going through tough times but will most likely go back to being successful. You do not belong in the same conversation as them when comparing program credentials.

Squeezing? TCU led pretty much the whole game and was slipping and sliding the whole game because they were using some new Nike shoes. If they wore the regular footwear, TCU wins by 2 or 3 touchdowns. Also, let's not forget that Wisky was the hottest team in college football going into that game. They were racking up a ridiculous amount of yards and points until they met TCU who held them to 19 points.

I have nothing against Auburn's team (save the cheating) or Oregon (save the cheating) that year but they were beatable football teams. TCU should have been playing them and the fact that they weren't was an embarrassment for college football.

I don't know why you are talking about Tennessee. It is pretty clear TCU has been a better program than them the last few years. The only thing that matters is how the teams are doing right now, in the recent past and what they can do in the near future. In that respect, TCU is in good shape.

You're talking about footwear? I'm not going to even dive into this bullshite. The 2011 Wisconsin team was better than 2010. Russell Wilson >>>>> Scott Tolzien and Montee Ball would've been considered the best back in CFB most years but he had to compete against Trent Richardson.

Please stop. With the shite going on at TCU right now, you are in a glass house so you may want to put the stone down.

Expecting Tennessee to stay down is like expecting the Longhorns or the Gators to stay down. It's not happening because they are Tennessee. I don't even know how the Vols even slipped into this conversation. What the hell do they have to do with TCU and Melvin Jones? I'm guessing it had something to do with Otha Peters who didn't even get offered by LSU.

I was just pointing out why the game was as close as it was. TCU still won and unlike Oregon actually had a good defense. They would have been a good matchup against Auburn or anyone else that year.

You are now repeating yourself. And I still don't agree with your opinion.

You brought up Tenn. If you don't know why you brought up Tennessee; then, I can't help you. If it is just to say that big state schools can remain competitive even after some down years; then, I don't disagree. In fact, I said as much in one of my past posts.
