...and not all of Louisiana but just geo between New Orleans and general Lafayette area. Streak may go further back if all of Louisiana considered.

I first heard of this streak in 2008. Then, it was 11-years in a row. Since then, I have been watching and can confirm that the streak has held since. Some years, 4 - 6 of the 44 Offense / Defense of both teams were from this area (New England vs. NY Giants, for example).

Why is this LSU recruiting post? Cause lots of them were LSU recruits.

I thought it was best place for it, if you have never heard of it. Pretty damned impressive about Louisiana talent density.

Super Bowl math for you....

AFC Champion vs NFC Champion
Each with 11 starters, on offense and defense
That is 44 starters (excluding STs)

In that 44 for each of the last 17 Super Bowls in a row, there has been at least one starter--not only from Louisiana but the area between Lafayette and New Orleans. Sometimes, 4 - 6 of those 44 in a given game from this area.

17 years in a row, small LA patch, biggest American football game on Earth.

Not too shabby

No reason to leave Central and North La out. At least six SB's had a starting QB from North La. I think Lake Charles, Baton Rouge and Shreveport areas probably put out as many or more NFL players than the Lafayette area. At any rate, it is a great streak for La.
