if I counted right ... I don't follow recruiting much at all but just thought that we typically signed more talent from instate. Is this number from out of state about typical?

It depends on the year and how deep the talent pool is..and really most of all how good the guys' grades are.
Usually you see LSU take most of, if not all of, the top 10 in state and maybe cherry pick a guy or two who are "down" in the rankings.
Next year they're going to load up in-state.

Talent down this year. Highest was 4 star.

Thanks guys. Now as I really don't follow much, please tell me that other SEC schools didn't get anyone that WE really wanted?

some would say this is a huge mistake.... but we possibly would not even be ranked if that were true, and there is no way to know for sure reed would have come anyway. Take those 11 and maybe add reed, jackson, and who else? That 3* qb? we would have had a shitty class.
