Im trying to help a friend that has two different generators that both run, but they say neither supplies power. I'm trying to give guidance over the phone, but don't know how to answer this one. I thought if it ran, it created power....

One is a Honeywell brand, Not sure on the other. Both are new so I cant imagine they are both having the same problem. I'm thinking faulty extension cord or something. They are down near gulf so I'm having a hard time troubleshooting via text messages.

Any ideas?

I would get them to plug a useless appliance straight into the generator to see if it works. There are buttons they need to press to make sure it is feeding electricity. Maybe a switch also.

Thanks for ideas. I will forward a link to this thread. They found out their camp has power so they decided to relocate and figure it out later.
