I brought my arse all the way back to bluebonnet because their outage map said we had power. Even compared that crap to a real map to make sure.

Folks, that map isn't accurate at all. My apartment smells like a Bigfoot's nut sack after a three mile run. Things leaked out the freezer.

What the frick were you storing in your freezer that smells like squatch's nutsack after less than a day without refrigeration?

Ugh. Okay, I can see that.

This is why I threw away a couple hundred dollars of food Monday when I left town. For Katrina, I wasn't planning to be in BR, but ended up stuck here because the roads were impassable. I lived in Mississippi at the time. Two weeks later when I was able to get back and power still wasn't restored, my entire apartment smelled like someone died in it.

I had to move. I still find that stunning. I had to move because the refrigerator smelled so bad.

I didn't get my security deposit back, either.

Entergy still says my power and 400 of my neighbors' is out as of 10 AM, while the truth is, it was restored at 10 AM, having gone off at 7:30 AM. And this is also Bluebonnet, but south of Burbank. I figure you're supposed to take the average of the outages and non-outages.

It's possible you didn't zoom in close enough.

No it's BS. I zoomed so far in I saw the curvature of the driveway where I parked my car. All green for go the F home.

Entergy isn't even deploying people yet.

It really is a shitty company.

maybe you should switch providers.

or not be so fricking critical about fixing a computer program when 40% of the state doesn't have power. they have bigger issues.

I thought for sure we'd be down a couple days at least. I was finishing preparations for that when the power came back on as if by miracle.

They really concerned about their customers. Let me tell you. Mass text messages saying they are ready to work...when it's "safe". Safe. It's not even blowing in BR right now. Not one person on the road.

Whoever this woman is (Pounders) that speaks for Entergy she talks like she could care less. Makes it sound like it takes 48 hours just to drive around and look at problems. Even if that is protocol she was basically saying we will get there when we get there deal with it. So much for public relations.

didn't realize you were a risk assessment analyst.

probably would help for them to do a quick survey of what needs to be done before they just go out and start randomly fixing shite.

Exactly the attitude they project. Screw them. I'll take Demco any day of the week if I had a choice.

Dude, my power went out yesterday at 5 fricking o clock with birds chirping and squirrels shitting in trees. Don't step to me and talk about risk assessment. The damn storm was 50 miles from land when my power went out.
