Whiporwhil won’t shut the f up

This damn bird posts up outside my window each night as the sun goes down and makes the whiporwhil noise for hours on end. He flies off if you go outside only to come back as soon as you leave. Anyone successfully dealt with something like this?

I’d shoot his arse if I could see him. Doesn’t show up til after dark and flies away when I I get close (I assume since I can’t see him could be just hiding and quiet)

Daisy makes a solution. i’m about to go to war with a pair of birds that are attacking and shitting on my rear view mirrors. i tried a fake owl close to the vehicle, but the birds shite on that too. i thought about buying one of those bug zap rackets at harbor freight and placing in front of said windows.

Depending on where you live it might actually be a Chuck Widows Will. Still a mouthy little bitch tho. There’s a handful of them that live behind our house.

I saw my neighbor trying to shoot one of those frickers with a pellet gun in the middle of the night. I quietly raised my window and said “wildlife and fisheries…can I see your hunting license?” He almost had a heart attack!

Had one in the hollow behind my house. I liked to listen to him. Now if that dude was outside my window, I would sit and wait with a 12 gauge.
