Still waiting on a soil test result but plan to remove existing grass and lay new sod. Current soil is pretty sandy/loamy,
what material should I be looking for to put down under my new Bermuda sod? Topsoil? Compost? Sand? I’ve heard to avoid river silt/sand due to weeds

If your soil is sandy loam then just drop the bermuda right on top of it.

Bermuda grows on anything that is permeable, and some things that are not. Lay it, and water. Don’t over complicate things.
