Privacy Fence Gate Sagging

One of my 4’ gate doors has sagged and now I can’t close it. It’s mounted on an 8x8” post. The ground around is soft due to underground water from springs in the area.. I have straightened it up before, but sags again. I was thinking about straightening again and then driving some metal stakes down deep next to it to try to prevent it from sagging again. Anyone had experience with this or suggestions?

I took care of mine with a trip to Home Depot.
Got some metal cable, brackets and a turnbuckle to tighten it up.
Used a shovel and a brick to lift up the gate before rigging the cable. Works like a screen door brace.
The cable runs from the top of the hinged side to the bottom of the gate where it used to hit the ground.
Maybe that will work in your application?

Not as good of a fix as above, but anytime any type of door is sagging, you can tke the screws out of the top hinge (maybe one screw at a time), and replace with longer screws.
This will pull the hinge closer to jamb, lifting the bottom opposite side.
Might do this in combination with the above mentioned fix.

If it’s all wood, you may have to screw in some eyebolts to attach to the gate corners.

When I got a gate kit with guy wires, etc. It was instantly better than the Ole use 2x4 s as framing for a gate

Put a paver in the ground and attach a roller / leg to the bottom of the gate so it can rest on a sturdy foundation all of the time

The gate is sagging because the post that it hangs on is leaning. You need some way to tie the top of the post that is leaning to the bottom of the post next to it and tighten it up to make it quit leaning. Honestly, I would try a cheap ratchet strap or something that you can just leave in place.
There are ways of doing this with barbed wire, but that takes some expertise.
ETA: I am talking about exactly the solution as Bullfrog posted above.
