Have a few sections that are visibly different after 2 months. Was hoping heat would help the shingles settle and look more uniform. Planning to discuss further with the roofing company and shingle manufacturer, but figured I could get input here to better understand the “issue”.

I’m a roofer haha. I was actually at there manufacturing facility yesterday. Around that time they changed the amount of squares they put on a pallet. Unknowingly the way they were laid caused your issue. Yes. Call whoever installed and have them call their local rep and tell them it was part of the January ripple issue

Certainly bookmarked with screenshot in case it gets deleted. With ripples on multiple sections, am I looking at a partial or full replacement? ~3K sq ft home.

This right here is why TD has become the hub of all outside information I ever need, or if I need to know something about just about anything.

When I have some lingering issue at the house my wife will say "ask your buddies on tiger droppings if they have ever had this issue"

Being the roof is fairly new, you won’t be able to tell if just a portion or if only that slope were replaced vs. a total replacement.

If it were my roof thought I’d push for a full replacement.

Several slopes, albeit to a lesser degree, have the same issue. Definitely plan to push for a full replacement. Started the claim process today.

Yea…pretty much. I use to amaze my wife at something I knew, news I broke to her before it actually broke, etc. Now she just looks at me and says “td?” Haha

Thanks. Being able to give back to DSAG, Upside Downs, etc was our 2nd primary objective in starting the company with this name. The 1st is that it gives us an opportunity to educate people on a very misunderstood diagnosis

As far west as Lafayette area, north to avoyelles, south east wherever. Pretty much a 2 hour radius

Just out of curiosity, who was the installer? I assume they are helping through the claim process?

Premier South. Pretty responsive thus far, but I am still waiting on original warranty info. Will see how things progress after receiving the claim documents.

Oddly enough, the roof section in the picture looked more normal today. I assume the cooler temps and rain impact the ripple visibility?
