Have a natural gas line going to back of
house, to use for boilings. Anyone know of places that sell them already set up?

Dad used to make them from rebar and wheel rims, some copper tubing and nozzles. Spray paint them with heat resistant silver paint. They were not ugly, just obviously not a commercially made product. Worked better than available products in the 60's-80's though.

Similar to this but neater and tidier (Dad was a Civil Engineer so details mattered to him):

I own this one and it has been great. This will be my seventh Crawfish season to use it. It was a gift from my Dad. He found it at a hardware store around Houma.

I will have a natural gas hookup on my back porch once renovations are complete. For some reason I always remembered seeing something that there wasn't enough pressure or it didnt get hot enough to boil crawfish. If I went with the burner above is that all I would need to do?

The jets on the burner for natural gas have to be different from what you have for butane. It also takes longer to get water to come to a boil, but you can boil with natural gas.

Hit Goodwood Hardware’s website. They have both burners and cookers.

One thing to be cautious of is to be sure you have enough pressure to boil crawfish. Natural gas is typically only 4 ounces of pressure in your house.

Does take a little longer but nothing crazy. I used to never use my pot lid with propane. I use it now to help with the longer cooking time. I have my home gas meter regulator at 8 in of wc.

G4 burner. I’ve had one for 12yrs. Love it
I put a Weber kettle grate on top and use it to cook often.
Tip:NG takes a little longer to get a boil rolling, watch your water levels and let it boil a little longer before adding crawfish. +3 sacks I bring out the propane burner. I don’t like intermission at my house.
Add a shut off valve near the burner so you don’t have to keep walking back and forth.

I use a natural gas burner from the line off of my back patio. I have a 100qt pot. It takes around 19 minutes from putting water in the pot to rolling boil. Propane probably does it in half the time. To me, the pros outweigh the cons with natural gas. It’s quiet, you can have a conversation easily next to the natural gas burner. That was the biggest surprise to me when I first got the burner. Not having to make sure I have enough propane in the bottle is awesome too, one less thing to check before I have a bunch of people coming over.

It doesn't appear that they still manufacture these.

Anyone have a link?

I have been using one of these for a few years now. Works great, but does take a few minutes longer to boil.

For those of you with this cooker. I see it's one of the only ones to come with 1/2" line. I have an unused 3/4" stub from the line that supplies my pool heater. Shouldn't be anything more than just a reducer to have 1/2" quick connect right?

i looked at these two burners yesterday (the two posted in the links above) and a local hardware store. Would be hard to justify that kind of money simply for a burner. I'll stick with my double jet propane.

I have the BBQ Guys Blaze Power Burner on my back patio with natural gas supply. The inner ring is rated for 25,000, and outer ring is 35,000 BTUs. Anyone with experience doing small batches of crawfish on this two-ring burner?

Was thinking of maybe a 42 quart stainless pot and boiling 15-20 lb batches for small parties. Think it has enough arse to properly boil?
