They grow quickly. I have four and no problems.

Love them. Highly underrated but will grow big. Great for screening

Fast growing, but also notorious for dropping dead and being a pain to remove because they’re so large.

Can the lower branches be trimmed once the start getting larger? I've thought about planting some but have only seen them with branches all the way to the ground and I don't want that. Not sure how they'd look otherwise though

Probably wouldn’t trim them for a while. Ruins the shape of the tree.

They can get bagworms. Need to check them almost daily in August-September. I went out of town for a week a few years ago and bagworms had destroyed half of one of my 15' tall Leylands.

They are and they grow fast. Problem with them, life span. Ones I had had lasted around 12 years, grew to about 25' and then died.
