I have Dimension 2EW to apply. This is about the right time, correct?

I just bought my first house, so I’m fairly new to all of this. Will preemergent kill existing weeds or does it only prevent new weeds?

For the most part it’s a preventative. You’ll have some that will have a bit of a postemergent effect. Like Dimension on young crabgrass.

It’s for new weeds. It treats the soil so it’s hard for seeds to germinate for a wile. You want a post emergent for existing weeds. The guys here are a great resource for any questions you have.

Bought a brand new home back in late October....yard was sodded with St. Augustine a few weeks before we moved in. Have already noticed some crabgrass sprouting up...what product should I use to kill it?

You’re late for winter weeds. I would spot treat those. Focus your next app before soil temps reach 70 degrees.

I like to run a split app of pre-em for slightly longer coverage. First right before 55 degrees (i missed that - hitting it today) and a second right before 70 degrees.

Take a picture. If you live in Bossier soil temps probably aren't warm enough for crabgrass to be up. You may have Dallisgrass.

Did a Weed Free Zone spot application during a warm spell a couple of weeks ago, beds and lawn and it seemed to do quite well. Then, these started popping up (Centipede front lawn). Any call on these?

Bought a house and it’s 80% weeds of every kind and 20% centipede. What should I do?

Part of me wants to kill it all and resod, but if I can fight the good fight for a year or two before doing that I wouldn’t mind.

If you truly only have 20% centipede then I'd start over. Centipede grows at such a slow rate that you'll never get coverage.

Thank you. What is the best time of year to lay new sod?
