What can a normal person buy online or at a big box that I can spray on these stumps and the new offshoots they are trying to regrow? I need these dead.

They are on an earthen class 1 dam so I can't just dig them out with heavy equipment or try to burn them out, most are literally on the waters edge. The two predominant species are tag alder and poplar.

What did that bama fan use on the auburn trees? That's the direction I'm going.

Also, garlon.

Drill holes in the stump and pour 24D.

It's like 200 little stumps. Anything we can just spray and not perform surgery on every individual stump?

So I just sprinkle this on a 45 degree slope so it washes out into the lake in week before even getting into the ground? Also I need grassy plant growth on the dam for erosion control, state mandated and inspected. So "salting the earth" is not an option.

Epsom salts after drilling. Might have to cover with tarp. Can Google this easily.

I can't cover a football field of stumps in tarps. Well, I guess I could, but I'm not going to.

I’m no expert but 24D is a broad leaf herbicide that if applied correctly should selectively kill the trees without harming the grasses. Of course if you mix it too strong during the heat of the summer it will kill grasses or at least burn them.

in a 5 gallon bucket mix rock or ice cream or pool salt with egg whites to make a sticky paste. Slap a salt patty on top of each stump. Walk away and wait

Salt isn’t going to hurt your lake but powerful herbicides might

If they’re on the water’s edge then that means the roots are doing work holding the bank from erosion. Remove them and you’ll start seeing changes in the shore line

Roots lead to leaking dams.

Your are not suppose to have trees on your dam.
