We have the wallpaper (not the glue) already for our powder room by the front door, but I refuse to do this job myself. I'll screw it up.

How much is labor for a room like that? Small half bath with sink and toilet, nothing else.

Probably about 350 ( no joke). That’s a full day, even if it isn’t.

Disclaimer : I am known for underbidding on wallpaper.

Like I said about being prone to underbidding, turns out that’s a 500 dollar job.

Yeah a few hundred for that small of a space seems about right.

I did a 13' x 13' x10' for one of of our kids room and pretty sure it ran like $600-800 for that job. Was a few years ago.

Hard to find people who will do it well and right though.

The issue is finding someone that isn’t months out. Any recommendations in the GBR area would be greatly appreciated

You're going to be spending a lot of money on trends that don't last long

Plus paying the plumber for two trips to remove and reset the toilet. May be some other non wall paper hanging stuff involved like removing wall mounted light fixture and mirror.

No need to call anyone for any of that stuff. Easily done DIY.

$750 - $1000 if you can find someone to do such a small job. Is there a mirror or light fixtures? It's not easy to wallpaper around a toilet.

Which is why the toilet should be removed before starting the job, just as you would if you were painting.

I did some wallpaper hanging years ago. This job would qualify as a pain in the arse. Tight quarters, obstacles, mostly corners as opposed to longer walls. It’s a small space but not simple.

If he was doing DIY he wouldn't need somebody to hang wall paper

As long as the toilet tank is not tight to the wall, it can be done without removal. Even if it is, there are ways.

Its most likely glued already. Almost all of it has been for about 50 years. It used to be common for the labor to hang a roll to cost what the roll itself costs. A roll doesn't cover much LOL. It is a pain in the arse but if the pattern is not too confused it is pretty simple to do. The more detailed the pattern the more it will take to cover because you have to match the pattern and there is a bunch of waste. A small powder room would have about 144 square feet of wall (doors and windows don't count as less area because of pattern matching) and a typical double roll will cover about 60 square feet and cost about $200 so the labor would cost around $500 to hang it. At least that used to be a good rule of thumb, about the same cost to hang as to but the material.
