Anyone ever use those rolls of tint you buy to help reduce the heat from direct sunlight in a room of your house. Does it work?

I did it about 10 years ago on one side of the house. It definitely helped.

Yes, I put it on a few of my Western facing windows to help with that brutal 3-5pm summer sun. It has definitely helped.

Just found some on amazon and self-installed a couple years ago. Pretty easy, although cutting it exactly right is challenging. I've got some imperfections around the edges, but nothing I can't live with. They've all stayed on with no issues so far.

Solar sun screens work great and are pretty reasonably priced. I like the look but they don't look great on every house/brick color though.
