Goes by a bunch of names. Some already mentioned. Aster, wild aster, slender aster. Easy to kill, easy to pull. I prefer the pull method because herbicide will kill it but the woody stem will be there for a while.

I’ve been pulling what little I have in my yard but my neighbor has 3 acres of it. I think between this, button weed and crabgrass he is finally going to get on a spray routine. I know Weed Free Zone will take care of it but I told him I wouldn’t spray it right now because it still may be to warm.

Slender aster. I made it my mission to pick every single one out of my back and side yard. Every day when I would come home I would go out back and just look for it. Most times it is easy to spot and other times they blend in with St. Aug very well. I did it for months until it was all gone. Then I had to do the same thing the next year. It was like a game for me. I finally got rid of all of it for good....until more starts sprouting up from my neighbor's yard or my lawn guys cutting someone else's infected yard before they cut mine. It's very easy to pull up though if your ground isn't hard as a rock and you can get all stalks in your hand at once.
