You can search by zip code with either store. Just enter your zip code and it’ll show you the inventory
OOS and "we'll notify you" with Lowes.
Only available for shipping (or pickup at store 1/19) with Home Depot--- earlier. I just looked and it's not anymore. Oh well, I have mine on the way hopefully. Home Depot USUALLY makes good on online orders, other than a Black Friday 2022 deal for a window AC I ordered. I got in and they charged me, but nothing ever beyond "tracking number assigned awaiting pickup". At the price they offered, I was gonna stack it next to my generator for the next time we get a storm.

Interesting, they have a full warranty, but only for the replacement of the product itself, not for any damage caused by it malfunctioning
That is pretty standard boilerplate for most products. Even massive companies can't cover every possible damage from their product. It would be suicidal for a smaller business to do it.

So- I have a pair ordered from Home Depot, scheduled for delivery today.
Now that it comes to it, I'm a bit nervous in trusting JUST the device... still gonna run water in the sink.
I suppose proof of function would be simply that it drips when cold, right?
I've seen videos of it on the end of a hose. Is that a safe way to do it, or would it be better on the actual faucet?

I put 6 of them on all the outdoor faucets directly and had no issues earlier this week. Closer to the faucet is best, there's a chance the hose can still freeze up since it's a much larger amount of surface area exposed to freezing temps.

I have them on my 3 spigots outside. I have a splitter on each spigot. Hose Miser on one side, regular hose on the other. I leave them on all the time and just switch the individual diverters when a freeze comes to activate the Miser and turn the hose off.

Got them on my house, dribbling away and it's 11F here right now
Just an update, got down to 3F and zero issues. Just kept enough of a trickle of water to keep the hose bibs from freezing, even the drain for the washing machine on the same wall froze at the clean out access but not the bib.

I had 7 on my outside spigots, as I was going out of town. They all worked perfectly.
