I'm looking to upgrade from a polaris to a robot.

What features do you want, dont need, etc? Searches are saying the dolphin Nautilus CC plus is the go to these days.

This website gives all the different equivalent models but it is years old.

Doheny Discovery
I've had this for a few years and it's great. The local Pinch-a-Penny changes parts on it when they wear as it's a clone of one of the Maytronics models they sell/service. Looks like they've got a discounted open-box one available.

Are you unhappy with Polaris? I’ve owned several houses (not at same time), and always used Polaris. Had to change for a few years when I had a very large dog who would pull the Polaris out of the pool and chew it up, but I could never find one as good as Polaris.

I mean the polaris does what it can. But I hate the randomness. Tuning the back jet sucks, the hose is almost dry rotted stiff, and I like tech.

I got a Dolphin M400 to replace an old Polaris 360 that I was constantly replacing parts on. So glad I did. Easy to operate and does a great job scrubbing down the pool.

Doesn’t a dolphin require a low voltage wire source that runs across the pool deck from wherever it is located? I never wanted a wire across my deck so I stay w Polaris

I cannot stress this enough: get the Triton PS. The filter is a basket that easily pops out for emptying and cleaning.

I’ve had two Dolphins and love them. They have a fine filter that picks up sand and dirt that my Polaris never did.

other people are saying the active 20 is the one they are selling the most of.

Looks like the triton plus is equivalent to active 30i.

I leave my Polaris in the pool 24/7.

Those with a robot... do you leave it in the pool or if not how often are you putting it in the pool? I like the idea of not having to do anything other than cleaning out the bag like the Polaris.

My Dolphin stays in the pool 24/7, unless when swimming if it gets in the way. Had no issues with it in 5yrs, and would highly recommend.
