Chubb is one of the largest insurers in the world. Didn't know they did homeowners, but it's certainly financially stable.

One call that's all..... I am sure they can help.. Get it done.

Our insurance market has been destroyed. Good luck finding affordable coverage.

Are LA insurance woes confined to South LA? What is an average policy on a $400k house? In central MS, policy with USAA is $2700/year, what about you guys?

My uncle was an underwriter there for a long time, and my cousin still works for them. I’m fairly certain they don’t do homeowners under $1MM.

But as above- stable company that insures everything and don’t do a ton of homeowners from my understanding, meaning a hurricane isn’t going to devastate them because they aren’t going to have a ton of policies affected here.

Maybe I’m wrong about their minimum, though.

I’m in Vermilion parish, my flood just went up to $3900 and I can’t find homeowners cheaper than $5000. We are screwed

It is my understanding that the difficulties getting policies are for folks south of 10/12... By far my favorite part of this beautiful state

Have Pure on 2 houses and they have been good to deal with. I guess it is a case of you get what you pay for. Had a roof claim on one last year and they paid me almost $90k on it with very little issue. That is the only claim I have had and hope I don’t for a long time.

IF you qualify and can get CHUBB, it is the GOAT. They were light years better than the rest after Katrina….

We had an insurance provider that went insolvent last year. Ended up getting Safeco via as Goosehead Agency in the BR/Ascension area that a former co-worker of mine owns.

The major issues are mostly in south LA. The farther north you are, the more companies you have writing to choose from…including some of the big name national insurance companies

I'm in the insurance industry. CHUBB is the top end carrier of choice for me. Don't know anything about the other carrier he mentioned, but Tokio Marine, who owns Pure, is one the largest global carriers. Both probably good

You are, sort of...Chubb writes stuff starting around $4-500k, but through other companies (which they may or may not own)
