I got an "inappropriate image" message in my sig image link box 2 days ago, but I see other users with it today.

Is it appropriate again?

FWIW, before you render judgment, I'm black.

It kind of was. Until everyone got all mad about it in 2004.

Prove it. Pretty sure it was stamped out early on. Way before 2004

It would've been early 2004.

I had a purple and gold battle flag as my avatar. If I remember correctly, it came up as something the athletic department didn't like at LSU sporting events.

There was a thread about it, some people liked it, some people didn't, but LSU was against it so it stopped being allowed here. Then I put it up again, and got banned and the rule was made official.

I was like 13 then.

Chicken

I know that decision was made long ago but it is my hope that TD would have the courage to reconsider now and allow it, especially in the face of this mob mentality around it.

Don't give in to the angry mob.

There is absolutely no chance. Advertisers would lose their minds over a sudden influx of Confederate flags.

Shame.

I didn't think LSU made a big deal about it until the whole Rahim Alem fiasco around 2010. I could be wrong though

Just to be safe and clear... is it OK to post a picture that contains a Confederate flag as long as it's presented as a point of information rather than advocacy?

The rule today only applies to avatars and sig pics.

But I'm sure Chicken reserves the right to change that at his convenience.

If the decision was made long ago, how is he giving in to the mob?
