We need a book board, please.

Pleeeeeeease
It's only fair since there is a tv/movie board.
We have tons of readers here. Well ok maybe not tons but enough to sustain a book board. Books generate conversation and interpretation.
I will even volunteer to police it.
Goodreads is getting too difficult to navigate.
In summary, I would like to formally request a book board.

Shaggybevo has a book board and there is never more than three people viewing it at one time.
Not saying it's a bad idea but TD is arguably overloaded already with board choices at the moment.

Agree about the number of boards. But td is diverse and should have something for everyone. Does it matter where they are posting as long as they are posting? The smaller community will be an asset. Goodreads is annoying because of the quantity of subscribers.
Each time there is a book thread here many people contribute. I think that if there was a place that they knew was dedicated to just books they would post even more.
Idk what shaggy is, and I am an avid reader. I have never heard it mentioned among friends where I hear td mentioned all the time. Let's take advantage of the devoted community here and expand out? I'd rather small group discussions on books and most others do too.
A board for the literary inclined should prove to be a dignified branch of td :-)

I don't think it's a board that could seriously sustain a collection of book threads. Be realistic. The OT is a place full of jackassery and ridiculousness.
It would be like adding soccer threads to the movie board. They go overlooked and aren't taken seriously.
But if there was a dedicated board where people knew they could go to discuss books I think they would visit and post often. We have many readers and while the ot is a great place for common juvenile behavior, it isn't where people are going to go for a book thread.

Just add a hipster board and do away with the soccer, music, tech and movie board.
