The gaming board, turn it into a gaming and tech board?

A few months ago the admins actively cleaned up the gaming board, in doing so, they also made it one of the least utilized boards on td.
Currently people will ask tech questions on the OT and the GB... why not consolidate the already slower board ( the gaming board ) and create a tech board? This will allow for more general discussion about many different things, and liven up a much slower td board.
(Disclaimer: I don't dislike the gaming board.. I just think in general people on TD end up playing the exact same games, so at one time you might have 3 active threads... and that's it. If it was an all purpose tech board, it could change this - while also bringing more traffic to TD. There is much more competition in the general gaming department, than the general tech forum department on the interwebs)

A lot of tech threads end up on the GB anyways. Would probably add some traffic to the GB and alleviate some of it from the OT. I'm for it.

That kind of happens everywhere, but probably worse on the OT.

I don't think the tech threads will overrun the board too much. We've had a few on the GB already...the Mac thread now and a handful of phone threads. I don't know how many of them pop up on the OT anyways, so I don't really know how much more it would bring.

CoD, BF3, NCAA, madden... all of these are always active, should never be an issue. Even during slow times these games are active enough to always stay around, so this should be a non-issue.
ETA: those 4 are actually what I was talking about as "games everyone on TD end up playing" when I said it in the OP

Hopefully we can avoid a "NCAA" and keep most of the chatter for the new games to 1 or 2 threads.

i don't know why you're just singling out NCAA... it happens with just about every new release (COD, BF3, Skyrim, NCAA, etc)

I guarantee you NCAA is worse. 5 different threads about rosters, music, and tackling. Plus the countless dynasty threads. 360, PS3, plus ones for every conference apparently.

I agree with idea except now when there are Xbox vs PS3 catfights, there will also be Androis vs. iPhone catfights.
