Shiner is good stuff. Have you tried some Belgium brews? The reason I ask is I used to drink a lot of Shiner until I discovered how wonderful Belgium beers are. They are a thing of beauty. My favorite so far is Grimbergen Double.

Now that I am old and married, my only "going out" is going to The Chimes with some friends and trying different beers. I can't even remember all the beers I have tried.
But, I tell you the best beer I ever had was from The Hofbrauhaus in Las Vegas. I have been looking for something similar ever since.

There are several places in BR that carry Hoffbrau beer... The Chimes, Slinky's, Mellow mushroom do, and I saw 6-packs in Matherne's the other day.

The best thing about their place in Vegas is it is built as a replica of the place in Munich. It was one of the only things I enjoyed in Vegas. I am not a big gambler.
