My avatar (Heinz ketchup and mustard bottle disappeared). I didn't see any message with explanation.

Those images displayed on a message board do not violate copyright laws (fair use, commercial image, public, etc.).

That happened to my avatar a couple times. Once was because my image expired or something on the hosting site, the other was because the board doesn't allow imageshak images anymore.

yep, mine did the same thing and when I looked at the link, there was some obvious deal with it...I just hosted my image on another site and been good ever since...

mine was there for well over a year being hosted on photobucket......then this morning it's gone......I've tried imgur, tinypic, deleted from photobucket and re-uploaded
