Half tempted to switch my workout time to the morning.

When do y’all workout and why?
Benefits?
Cons?

Morning when I can

Not nearly as hot and starting the workday with a run already done is a great feeling

Morning. Less heat and I usually work late so the last thing I want to do after 9-10 hrs of work is lift heavy shite.

Run and Ride in the evenings. I am not a morning person and feel like I am operating at half capacity if I ride or run early. And even though it's cooler,it seems hotter to me in the morning. People I can easily keep up with in the evenings smoke me in the mornings. I swim, pre Covid, at lunch because the other coaches swims are very early or late.

Around 8 pm. It's easier for my wife and two kids to all workout together about this time.

Noon

I don't want to wake up at 430 to work out, and I always find excuses not to go by the end of the day. Noon is perfect.

Usually after work and weekends. I've tried mornings and it doesn't work for me

Morning for cardio - because I like fasted cardio

Evenings for resistance work - because I am stronger in the evenings.

This is what I’m thinking I need to start doing, question is; how does it affect your sleep? The few times I’ve done my stuff in the evenings I find it’s harder to fall asleep around 1030-11

Not bad. I find I work harder and it tires me out. I take pre-workout when my energy levels are low.

I ride mornings 6 days a week, moderate tempo riding. 5 days a week I do interval training on the bike in the evenings. 3 days a week I work upper body in the late evening.

Afternoon. Much more loose just from going about my day. I’m so tight in the mornings, even after warming up I still don’t quite feel as ready to go.

Lunch.

Good to break up the work day and not have to worry about it later.

I’m warming up by 5:30 a.m. Pros: I’m usually alone, it’s cooler in the morning and it’s a great way to start the day. Cons: it’s early as frick, sometimes it’s hard to get going and it’s sucks when it’s cold.

I always do afternoons about 30 minutes after I get home. The family knows that’s my routine. I’d love to do mornings before work but I’m almost always having work related phone calls starting around 6. Someone always has a problem that needs immediate attention in the morning. I’m not getting up at 4 am either

I may push my workouts to later in the day when the kids start back at school
