I want to do pull-ups everyday since it's embarrassing how much I struggle with these. Hopefully doing them every morning along with weightloss I can improve my rep range quickly.

Does anyone have a recommendation on which door frame pull up bar? Hopefully very sturdy and doesn't cause too much damage. Or do you think all of them are pretty much the same?

Was just going to order this one from amazon, but wanted to check with the board first.

I have this one, works fine, holds 300lbs. Got it at WalMart. Chose it because it had plenty of cushion for the door frame and its a pull up bar.

If you're taller maybe consider an elevated bar.

6’5” taller one may be the way to go. Nice find.

That little bit of raise is still gonna be pushing it at 6'5. Bend your knees and get a cheaper one

The door frame that I am putting it on has a 4-5 inch drop off into the next room. Think that'd be enough space to justify the more expensive one?

4-5 inch drop + the raised bar at your height...hell yes. I tried using one of these things in a standard door frame at 6'2 (the regular one) and it was miserable always having to keep my legs in some awkward position to attempt pull-ups.

I have that one. Different brand but identical. I've used it for nearly a year with no complaints. Be advised these things do experience metal fatigue and will wear out with hard use. I had one break and come crashing down with me. If you have the room and the money, a standalone bar or better, a dip/chin station is great.
