Has anyone tried this? Didn’t know it was a thing until I experimentally just ate meat and little veggies for about three weeks.

Before I knew it I was dropping weight fast. Now I’ve lost 20 pounds in 6 weeks, and lost the tasting for breads. I don’t need to lose weight, but doing out of whatifness…

Just miss having an IPA time to time.

I did meat and fruit for almost 2 months almost exclusively. I did have some alcohol and a couple of meals for work and stuff that weren't only meat and fruit.

Felt great.

I feel great too. More energy and my mind feels focused and in-tuned.

How much weight did you lose? I plan on starting this tomorrow and like some insight. Thanks

Like 3 or 4 lbs, but I didn't really have weight to lose. I leaned out a little though

You’re gonna get shite on for being pro-carnivore on this board but I think it’s great short term.

Add in honey, fruits, rice, sweet potatoes, etc as your carb sources and a little bit of vegetables to keep your meals interesting and it’s a pretty damn good approach to eating.

Not trying to be. Just stumbled upon this. People can eat what they want.

Are you questioning those things as legitimate carb sources?

Im questioning why you'd include them in a discussion about carnivore

Eating fruit compared to rice or sweet potatoes are not in the same universe when talking about carnivore

For the last two months, I’ve eaten a freezer of deer meat and ribeyes with salt and honey, Ruston peaches (recently), and started calf liver and salt last week. I don’t eat after 6 pm. Life is good on this.

No soft drinks since March. Only water and black coffee.

I like that. I am not on any particular diet. But I lean heavily carnivore. I'm considering bees on the new compound. I eat almost no sugar but having some honey around for the kids and to sell will be cool. And the kids love bees.

Best diet I have tried but it really isn't a 'diet' it is a lifestyle. The only carbs I get in my diet are from half & half which I use to make two protein shakes with a day. I thankfully react well to little to no carbs. Some people don't. Everyone is different. I might get 10 grams of carbs a day and have no issues. Feel better now at 42 than I did at 30 when I was on anabolics, hGh, and insulin.

Kinda losing the whole idea of carnivore if you're doing this. This is more of a paleo style diet.

I guess I should’ve been more clear that I meant strict carnivore is great short term, but many people including myself find it very difficult to do for more than a few months.

Adding in the low toxicity carb sources I listed is an option if you like carnivore but are looking for something longer term and easier to stick to.

I eat modified carnivore based on some things I've seen from CarnivoreMD.

Lunch: 10-16oz of either ground beef or steak (cooked in Ghee), 1 egg, and then pineapple and kiwi with natural honey on top

Dinner: Chicken or Fatty fish (Blue Fin Tuna or Salmon) with butter.

The one thing I differ from is I might have a small caesar salad and grilled asparagus with dinner just because I like it.

I've lost 14lbs since March. I feel great and energized. Bloodwork is good too.
