Does everyone on the OT bath everyday? What are they hygenic habits of the OT?

Bustle - 6 reasons to not bathe everyday
quote:

But showering too often when you don't have that personal, essential need, like getting dust and grime or germs cleared off, "can actually be detrimental to your skin," he adds

Ive been wondering so. Also is it common in every nation to bath everyday.

Ive currently been 10 days without bathing. Longest streak yet. Havent really noticed any perks. Dont even notice the smell anymore. But I feel the "bacteria" in areas.

If I sweat or I'm dirty or feel dirty, I shower. In the winter there are days where I don't need to. In the summer it could be twice a day. I can't sleep if I feel nasty.

10 days-that’s gross.
In the summer, every day sometimes twice.
In the winter I’ll often skip a day if I’m not going anywhere.

Antibacterial soaps such as Dial are not good, they contribute to bacterial antibiotic resistance.

I try to only wash my hair 3x a week, but going without a shower after sweating my arse off in a workout or doing yard work sounds disgusting to me. I’ll skip a day if I didn’t do anything active the day before but that’s the limit for me.

I shower once or twice a day. I usually get sweaty or dirty in the garage every afternoon.

We do only make the kids (7 and 1) bathe every other day unless they get really sweaty/dirty. Started with the older as he'd have dry skin issues as a toddler if you bathed him every day.

I feel like with your diet you get enough grease in your diet that it kind of naturally cleans out your pores.

Shower every day, sometimes twice in the summer.

Wash my hair every other day, unless I actually need to wash my hair BC I sweat a lot or something

Haven't you posted your eating struggles on the OT before and haven't you acknowledge your obesity battles?

What I'm getting at is that you're fat. And you're not bathing. And it's Louisiana. And it's summer. The people within 45 feet of you don't deserve this.

Every once in a blue moon I won't shower before going to bed. But when I do that, I shower first thing when I wake up in the morning, then back to bathing that night before bed. If I go to sleep without bathing, I have to change my bed sheets (in my head they feel dirty).

I stopped using soap about 5 years ago - have definitely noticed the improvement in skin condition. Daily loofa with soap is a REALLY bad habit that girls pick up and carry their whole lives. Women take these showers and then have to spend 30 minutes using 20 different types of moisturizing lotion.

I try to only shower if I need to be presentable professionally - so, work day or social function. Otherwise, it's good to shower as infrequently as possible and with no soap. Light shampoo, and use it to "goose" the unmentionable areas is all that's needed.
