I have a pretty good 5/3/1 spreadsheet that I’ve developed. The only thing it’s missing is the plate math like is found on black iron beast.

Can someone break down what formulas or macros I need to have it show up for 245 such as [45, 45, 10] or something along those lines?

TIA

Yeah dude when I’m all jacked up at the gym I don’t want to be doing math.

Send me your spreadsheet, and if I have some time tomorrow, I’ll give it a shot. If someone beats me to it, I won’t be offended.

And if you got something you can link me to or how you want it to look, let me know.

Thanks I sent the spreadsheet to your email. If you could just put it in the notes section that would be perfect.

I bit off more than I was expecting. I gave it a start, but I’m not willing to put any more time into it, haha

Feel free to take what I started and build off of it or scrap it and start from scratch.

The major two limitations on my version are
1. It doesn’t take multiple plates into account (if you have 4 10 lb plates, it only treats it like you have 2)
2. There’s cheat cells and then there’s cheat tabs. This has a complete cheat tab. It’s very...inelegant

Sorry, man. I even searched around on some excel forums and on Reddit to try to get a different perspective on it.

Here's how I do it. I have a sheet called weights that has 3 columns. TotalWeight, Plates, PerSide. TotalWeight is pretty self explanatory. PerSide is (TotalWeight - 45)/2. Plates is my plates to total the PerSide amount. Note: my gym does not have 35s, so you won't see them in mine. Here you go, though.

Thanks man appreciate it

ETA: holy hell thanks man. You put a lot of time into that. I appreciate it. I’m looking at the formulas and cel references now and trying to duplicate it across all the tabs

What’s the formula you have set up to look to that reference?

=VLOOKUP(B10,Weights!$A$1:$B$100,2,FALSE)

In this example, B10 would be the weight amount I was trying to hit.

That worked exactly as I was conceptualizing in my head...
