Is it the personal challenge? The sport itself? Networking? Getting outdoors?

What is it that really drives you to love this sport the most?

When you break it down it is just hitting a ball into a hole with a stick. But it is much more than that. Why?

I just like the seclusion and the fresh air. I also like driving the golf cart.

Being in shape isn't a requirement.

I've been around golf my entire life. My family had a 9 hole course for 50+ years in the small town in SC that I'm from.

I didn't take up the game until I was 11, but not long after I started my dad took me to The Masters in 1997 and I became hooked. I have also been fortunate to have played and meet a lot of great people along the way, including guys playing on the mini tours, Web.com and PGA Tour.

The challenge of the course and who you are playing against and get to play with my dad and family. It's always a good time.

I like the fact it's a game that is won just by playing.

Taking people's money doing it is just icing on the cake.

Because Theres no "winning". The whole point is to just enjoy yourself and maybe do a little better than last time. Otherwise I get too competitive, golf I can just enjoy it for the sake of it

White cans, flicking cigs, and draining 50 footers in the rain is why I'm here.

It's humbling. When you're hitting well, it feels glorious. But then you're hit with a hole where you feel like a total failure at life. But you keep chasing the highs.

Knowing that the next shot could be the best shot of your existence. Pretty much the only reason I still play is because I am consistently an 83-85 and each round has a handful of shots that are just perfect.
