Seems like a great deal. How's the course? Are the rooms nice? How's the food? Do the cart girls put out? Is it a challenging course?

Thanks

Cool layout, lots of doglegs with tee shots blinded by trees. Unfortunately conditions were below average the couple times I played it.

Not really

Decent enough. Nothing to write home about

Not sure you’d want them to

You can put yourself in bad spots off the tee pretty easily leading to some big numbers.

Course has potential to be really fun but doesn’t get enough play or make enough money to maintain it to a proper level. Our group had a fun time though.

The last time I played it, I almost walked off. I was there last week fishing the two pockets on the front 9. Looked terrible.

I have no idea how that place keeps the doors open.

bctiger pretty well nailed it. I would disagree with his layout comment. But I may be jaded in my opinion. I will say the 4 par 3’s as a group are a nice collection in design. You hit driver on 1 of 4 par 5’s.

It is not worth playing right now.

The Sabine River Authority is supposed to be putting a bunch of money into the course. They are closing for about a year. So, I would wait to play it until next summer.

If you are on Toledo Bend, I would play @ Rayburn, it’s about a 45 minute drive from Cypress. Nice course. It was closed for a while, but new owner is throwing cash at it. I played it a few months after re-opening & it was in ok shape. But they were actively working on the course while we were playing. That was last year about this time of year.

I haven’t played recently enough to comment on condition. Location is somewhat remote, pretty setting, houses were moderate cabins, course has LOTS of undulation and side hill lies. Give it a play and report back!

Use to play it several times a year when it first opened. Never really kept in good shape over the years. So much money wasted on trying to keep CB relevant. SRA and Sabine parish are draining their coffers to keep this resort going. I fish just south of there and the roads leading to my landing are abysmal. I guess since Emerald Hills closed, it picked up the weekly play from the Many and Zwolle area players. Horrible layout imo. Go to Rayburn.

The 8i one is just stupid.

It’s quite possibly the most poorly designed course in the United States.
