Any pros/cons of The Links, The Raven, Baytowne or Burnt Pine? Will be going this weekend into next week and have 4 of us looking to get a round in.
I played The Links at San Destin a few years ago and enjoyed. Selfishly I'd like to play a different one just to see a different course, but curious if any one stands out over the others

Thanks in advance.
**Edit, looks like Burnt Pine is members only

The Raven is probably the one to play

I’d throw in Regatta Bay as a fairly easy and fun course to consider as well. I personally prefer it over Kelly

Raven is protected from the wind better than most of the other Destin courses. I find the other courses very challenging especially when it’s windy.

I hit the biggest slice off #1 at Baytown in a tournament- so I recommend Raven

Ill be in town as well. Anybody play in Destin/San Destin in the past month?

Is Indian Bayou really in terrible shape?

Links is definitely the most scenic, Raven probably the nicest, I’m not much on Baytown.
Burnt Pine is private, you’ll need an invite…

Or have your pro email their pro they take reciprocal play during the week but they just punched May 8-14 and they do it again the first week of August, also it’s difficult if you do play it move up a box

Emerald Bay is fun, usually in pretty good shape too.

Links is scenic but the older of the courses. Bayetown is fun but not overly difficult. Raven is nice and a challenge

Camp Creek east of Sandestin near 30A. (Might be private now.)

A nice hidden gem across the bay is Rocky Bayou in Niceville. They aerated the greens 2 weeks ago, greens were nearly pristine and very firm as of Sunday.

I’m gng to Indian Bayou with my dad today. I’ll report back.
The course is in good shape. The greens are healing from a pencil punch, but they’re rolling well. IMO it’s not worth $130-150. If you catch a hot deal for $100 l, that’s a fair price.

Golf down here is stupid expensive. I think they’ve jumped the shark on pricing. There was nobody out there. There are tons of tee times on GolfNow. Prices will have to come down to keep people playing.

Played the Links and Regatta Bay last week. Links was two-weeks post-punch so greens were slow but the course was in good shape. Had 7 three-putt bogeys and hated myself. Regatta was in great shape. We paid $129 each but waited until the day before to book.

As a bonus I was looking for a quick 9 one afternoon and found a deal on Seascape for $29. It is, by far, the worst golf course I have ever played on .

If you stay on the property I believe you can get on Burnt Pines. The Raven was my favorite along with Windswept Dunes which is about a 1/2 hour away but worth it. Links is fun, Baytowne ok. Indian Bayou is ok. Played Kelly Plantation and it was cart path only and wet, wet and wet. Emerald Bay and Seascape were alright.

Kelley plantation is $250. The price of golf down here is higher than giraffe pussy

Wow that is nuts. I like Kelly, it’s my favorite course in the area, but it’s not worth close to that. I get it, things have been crazy down there the last couple of years but wow.

Like I said earlier, everyone uses online booking and dynamic pricing now. Just book the day before and you can get some deals up to half off.
