Also, let’s dissect this

City AM is given out for free and has a circulation of 67k

London Financial times is sold and has a circulation of 115k

One can’t claim to hate modern journalism and fake news then fall for it and spread it so easily

If their goal is to make the PGA cave, I'd say that they're worth every penny. The longer the two tours are separated and LIV is blackballed by the media, advertisers, and from getting a TV deal, the more money LIV loses.

They're going to force the PGA's hand at some point. Rory accelerates that process like dry leaves on a fire.

How exactly is a partially merged tour "ruining professional golf"? Do we not want to see all the best golfers together more often?

It's partially the PGA's fault that this is happening. If they hadn't pissed off all the euros and aussies by ignoring the worldwide market and forcing players play in the armpits of America, LIV wouldn't even exist.

Then the PGA doubled down by signing the cash influx deal from the private equity group that is a bandaid at best. Monahan and Co. just keep stepping on their own feet. The merge is inevitable.

I don't understand those that cheer for the destruction of the PGA Tour and the takeover of golf by the Saudis. You say Jay handled this horribly, probably true, but everything was fine until the Saudis created this beast and unleashed billions of dollars to take over golf. The PGAT put up a fight for their existence, and you blame them for it.

LIV golf fricking blows. If that’s all we’ve got when the dust settles I’ll find other things to watch.

A rumor out there regarding Rory that may have merit is an upcoming caddie change.

They were talking about it on PGA tour radio yesterday. They said there were rumblings about it at ANGC. They also had a tour caddy on that confirmed the rumblings, but would not go any farther.

I don’t know if no laying up had inside information but they kinda hinted at this leading up the masters.

Basically said if Rory doesn’t play well at Augusta they think he could bring in a professional caddy again. Obviously he did not play well.

We need to go back to the good ol’ days. Americans play the PGA, Euros and internationals play the European Tour. All the big boys come together a few times each year for the majors, a couple of big events (Players, Irish Open because it’s always before the British Open), and the President’s and Ryder Cup.

All of the European stars moved to America, the PGA Tour squashed the European Tour and made it irrelevant, yet so many act like all of the European guys are supposed to be loyal to the PGA and turn away huge money from LIV?

If the DP World Tour was smart they would have partnered with LIV instead of riding the PGA’s jock after the PGA already made them the minor leagues.

The Rahm deal was only $300 something million after $600 something was reported because it was over inflated with expected value in equity in the team and the league.

If there are any legs here it's probably around $500 million cash plus equity

Rory did an actual interview as well just now calling the rumors complete nonsense

He made the definitive statement “I will play on the PGA tour forever”

A lot of men in here are pudding brains

It’s not PGA & Euro Tour’s problem.

It was the PGA Tour getting rid of WGC’s that opened the opportunity for LIV.

PGA used to play tournaments in Spain, Ireland, England, Australia, South Africa, China, etc with WGC’s.

Now they only play in Mexico & Canada. (Not counting The Open or Ryder/President’s cups)

That’s essentially the path we are on right now with PGA/LIV. I don’t think that is an ideal solution.

I’m just saying Rahm definitely stated his loyalty to PGA in the past too.

I still believe Rory will absolutely play team golf on a world wide tour at some point, I just figured it would be after the PGA/PIF merger & probably wouldn’t be called “LIV”
