Will they let me bring my wedges in and try them on the simulator.

I hit my
PW 120yds
52 degree 75 yds

I know I hit longer on the simulator than real course conditions so want to test mine there. Looking at maybe a 49 or 50 degree.

I only have 13 in the bag now so I'll keep the 52 and just add one.

How is this possible...not meant to be a shot at you, but is something wrong with your 52 degree wedge (e.g., is it really 58)?

Not sure, maybe.

My PW is a 45 degree I think. Or it is according to the specs.

You should consider having more wedges in the bag and getting rid of a club. Maybe buy a 50* wedge, bend the 52* to a 54* and then buy a 58*

Ok. Just went compare my 56 and 52. They appear to be almost identical loft. That just eyeballing. I'll get them to check lofts.

I just trusted that a new 52 Cleveland wedge was actually 52.

Not sure distance is the main result you're looking for in wedges. More about feel and finess. You should never swing a wedge more than 75% if that much.

FWIW, my PW is 125 and my 52 is around 110-115, 56 is 100ish and 60 is around a 50-80 depending on how I swing them. You seem to have a large gap there.

Is the simulator at Edwin Watts accurate enough to give you good wedge distances? I always thought the launch angle would be too high to get a good reading on 54* and higher.

Yes looking to fill the gap.

Yes. Thats why I asked the question about Edwin watts simulator.

Keep in mind I've just started playing after a 12 year hiatus. So brand new clubs to me and only a handful of rounds.

I'm really thinking the 52 I have is more of a 55. I just hit it a few yards farther than my 56. They both may be off so I really need to get them measured and see what I have.

I do not know. Was hoping someone here did.

I'm heading by there next week and will stop in and ask.

Its no trackman. It's one that is within 5-15 yards off. I use to work for a golf club company and did a demo day there. The reps said that the monitor showed a bit longer results than reality. Apparently it varied based on how fast the ball moved of club face. In all honesty, I'd bend your PW to a 47, get a gap wedge (50/51), then go 56, 60. I'd rather have a consistent game from 110 in than have a PW that I hit 130. Just my 02.
