Refreshing to see patrons that appreciate the game and conduct themselves in a courteous manner. Unlike what we have grown accustom to seeing at the week to week PGA tour events with adults screaming "Mashed Potatoes" and "BaBa Booey" after every shot. Makes you appreciate the events that do not tolerate this kind of behavior, and thus justifies charging a higher ticket price.

I've heard things like "HAM SANDWICH" and others this week.

Screw that, it's a sporting event. Bring some life to the events.

I went to the US Open at Oakmont last year. This was right around the Hodor episode of GOT. After DJ hit a drive, a guy yells "Hold the Door!!!!" It was pretty funny.

Early in the telecast they showed four patrons walking in with 6-8' inflatable palm trees strapped to their backs . . . WTF?

Americans travel to the Open - Guarantee you that was said by Americans. Watch 30 minutes of the European Tour coverage on Sunday morning. You won't hear "Baba Booey" - It's crap like this that has led to players like Paul Casey voicing their displeasure with American fans. I'm an American and support our players first, but I can appreciate the complaints some foreign players have with American fans.

That being said, the Ryder Cup is a different animal altogether and fans should be engaged. Those players are playing for the pride of the country, not money.

But people forget that not every player on tour, specifically in a large event like the Open, is a millionaire. This is a job for some guys, and they just want to make enough money to support their family. They don't really care for someone screaming Mash Potatoes when they are t-64 trying to break out of a log jam to win an extra $13,000 to fund their travel expenses, pay their caddie, and make their mortgage payment. This is their job. The same would apply to you working 11 hour days all week, really not happy with how the week went, but some jack arse pops out while you are getting to your car and screams Baba Booey BABY in their sun burnt drunken stupor while spilling their beer on your tie.

Keep that in mind next time you think attending a professional golf event is akin to WWE Monday Night Raw.

Jesus, do I need to hire some kids to play on your lawn just so you can yell at them to get off it?

The stick in your arse...remove it

I've read some goofy crap on this board, but this may take the cake.

This Open was played in England. The fans are much more reserved in Scotland.

I can watch 30 minutes of Web.com tour coverage in the afternoon and won't hear it either.
