Won’t be staying at the resort and driving in for the day. That limits the options to 1,3,5 and the cradle.

Any opinions from those that have played these specific courses? Looking to see which one to try and book.

Man that stinks. The cradle is fun but short par 3 and not worth an entire day in that area. Assuming you’re saying everything else is booked? Those courses are at the bottom of the list albeit still fun courses. 3 gets the most play out of those listed I believe (ignoring cradle). Could you do 3 and cradle?

Have you thought about Tobacco Road (20min away), Pine Needles, Mid pines etc?

I played some courses there and they all seemed to play longer than the yardage. Uphills, soft turf, no roll. If you find that the case, start using more club early. I didn’t, to not very good results.

The Dormie Club is the answer here.

Play Pine Needles. Then spend time at Pinehurst having a meal and doing the putting course.

5 is a great course. Then sit in a rocking chair at the Carolina Hotel and have a cigar.

Came here to say Dormie. Had a similar situation and we showed up to Dormie and they had just punched the greens. Sucked, but still was a fantastic experience.

Hope you get the chance to play it when the greens are normal. Excellent track.

Can only play those if you are not staying at the resort. Two night minimum stay.

Driving in from my house about an hour away. Plan on playing Tobacco Road the next day.

What about a morning cradle then off to Pine Needles in the evening?

You can definitely get on the others but you don’t get the advance booking windows. Unless that has changed recently.

Cradle and Pine Needles is a very solid day. If possible, do Pine Needles in the morning. Get lunch at the Duece then grab drinks and play cradle. Finish off the day fricking around on Thistle Dhu.
