That's my point. There's nothing like teeing off on Sunday going against ten twelve other teams for first place. I can hardly sleep the night before. Then to show and get canned because it rained a inch and the club pro who is not playing wants to go home.

My point is that more than half of your entry fee will be devoted to things that have already happened before you put a peg in the ground on Sunday morning (tee gift, dinner, lunch, on course drinks, calcutta etc.) The most you're missing out on is a green fee's worth for which I think a rain check is the most you may get.

From a playing standpoint you should compete that way on Saturday since it may be the only day and you have the added bonus of having no chance to start out trailing. Then if the weather permits Sunday and you get to play it's like new life and two days of that competitive feeling.

No anger from this end just trying to lay it out in simple terms.

Do you really feel that way? These things are just for fun and having a good time. Geez.

We live in south lousiana. It rains. You're being kind of a bitch about it. Just don't go.

Playing competitively and having fun are not mutually exclusive. The OP mentioned that he enjoys the feeling of competing so why not approach both days that way? Nowhere did I say don't talk to anyone and be sure not to enjoy yourself.

I was replying to the OP who said he can't sleep the night before because he is trying to beat the other 10 or 12 teams.
