Spieth's antics today on 13 will just pump up a buddy of mine that kills everyone's pace of play by thinking he's a pro and checking every angle of every shot. I understand the pros are making a living here, but at what point do you just force a guy to hit a ball??

Kucher isn't laughing as he was forced to wait over 20 minutes to hit a shot as Mr. Millineal complained about all the things in his way after hitting it into the parking lot.

You do realize this is the Open Championship they were playing for, not the Port Hudson muni championship?

It's not like Kucher went into the shitter after this. Spieth caught fire and went birdie, eagle, birdie, birdie. That's ridiculous.

Kuchar literally laughed about it. Gave Spieth a fistbump and went on his way to continue to play well. If you have a problem with a guy playing too slow, don't play with him. Or don't be a bitch and ask him to speed up his routine. Most people I know who play slower get ready sooner. Meaning they start their routine before their partners hit.

It took as long as the officials made it take. Had they been quicker so would he.

Spieth is slow, but this situation had nothing to do with pace of play. It had to do with multiple drops and multiple obstructions, and he knew it was taking forever and apologized multiple times.

If your buddy causes you to be out of position on the course, you need to tell him something.

The marshals fudged up today, not Speith. Even though it was frustrating as frick to watch. Kuchar is probably the best person Speith could've been paired with. Other people would've raised hell and rightfully so. If I were Kuchar, I would've been bitching hoping that Speith would make a quick decision and mess up.

He should've been forced to go back to the tee box. Bottom line. I commend his recovery on the remaining holes, and he was the man. Just have to stop all this crybaby stuff and "It's my world and everyone else is just living in it" mentality.

I do agree it's more the marshall's fault than anyone's, and Kucher is the ultimate professional. Was rooting for him.

No he shouldn't. He has 5 minutes to find the ball and he found it within that time frame. What took forever was making sure he took his drop in the right place, which again is not his decision.

Wrong. Did you watch the post round interview the the R&A rules official?

Reteeing was one option he had. He chose one of the two other options he had.

So getting back to the original question, what's the max amount of time that should be allowed on a hole before someone receives an automatic penalty stroke and how should it be enforced?

So Jordan Speith shouldn't have been entitled to proceed under the rules of golf cause you thought it was taking too long?

After a certain amount of time after finding his ball (which is way less than what was allowed) yes, he should've had to go back to the box. Again, I blame the marshals.

Are you seriously wanting to know if weekend hackers should be timing their friends between shots and calling penalty strokes on each other??? Seriously? You think that's the best way to handle it?

Dude. You're simply wrong. That's not the rules of golf.

Line of sight on a links course with final game galleries is going to take some time.
