Looks like they are in talks with English Turn to play there.

That would be awesome! I think they enjoyed being in LV this year for Super Bowl, but I wouldn’t expect the same in Nola

TPC won’t let LIV play there?

Is that course capable of getting itself in shape to host such an event?

PGA Tour gives courses millions to get ready. LIV can probably see what it use to be. A good caliber PGATour host club.

I’d probably go, but English turn seems like an odd location. I love the course, but I have a hard time picturing large scaffolding setups and tents out there. Granted the only other option in NOLA is probably Bayou Oaks.

TPC isn’t hosting a LIV tournament two months before the Zurich.

Based on recent crowd sizes I don’t think scaffolding would be necessary.

The biggest issue with the PGA event when it was held there was the severe lack of on-site parking and the busses and shuttles from the other side of the Intracoastal. Bleachers and scaffolding wasn't an issue but NOLA doesnt really support golf like events like other cities.

The event was quite nice.
Compact, easy to spectate and get around.
Great post party host venue.

The biggest issue to me is the weather risk. Feb 9 could be disgusting.

Miami, Arizona, Southern California and if they ever do a Super Bowl in Mexico os something is a much better weather fit for an early Feb golf tournament.

Didn't they use to run the golf event same weekend as a jazz fest? That has always seemed like a bad decision to me and especially if it rains. April was/is a crapshoot weather wise in South Louisiana for outside events. RIP in peace Indy car.

Could be neat. Go Thursday to Saturday. Get that nice Saudi money to get the course in shape and construction of a boat load of onsite parking .

LIV doesn’t seem terribly concerned about the shape their courses are in.

English Turn was a much better course for the Zurich/HP/Compaq/Freeport-McMoRan than TPC Louisiana is.

It was much more fan friendly for viewing.
