At the casino the other day and was looking out towards Nicholson at the vast, vacant land in front of the casino. Were there ever any plans to put a golf course there? With all of the mature trees, it sure looks like it? Anybody have any idea?

I believe there were originally plans to build a course, but until that happens, I believe they have accounts with courses in the area to play at a reduced rate.

This is correct BP. I did some work out there right after they opened. Master plan was originally to develop a course and retail space on that side of Nicholson but got put on hold during the development phase.

Aren't more courses closing than opening, or is that 2013 news?

They can prob get you on at UClub it isn't far, maybe a scramble won't be going on and you can get off before 2/3pm.

I used to work with a guy that was quite generous to the slots and he would play U Club with 3 buddies just about every Sunday morning.

Sometimes he'd come straight from Lauberge to his tee time and then right back after.

He probably got comped because he was losing an extensive amount at the casino. I haven't been to a casino in a while, but the slots used to have the worst odds at winning.

When I've played there it's been Sunday mornings, not many TAF or LSU related scrambles going on there at that time. Not hating on the place, I enjoy playing there.

after watching Vegas grow and build I thought casinos were always built to favor the gambler not the house, damn

I'm trying to follow @ell_13 advice and focus on the content. I know who's into the down vote thing and they are on Ignore.

As others have said, yes, there were plans in the initial planning and development stages.

Pretty sure that issue was one of the main ones influencing the decision to put the course development on hold.

Personally, I'd still like them to do it.
