Hot Melt DIY

After all the great insight of the benefits of hot melt from the other thread I decided to take things into my own hands. It was a rainy day and I had some time so I started doing some research on how I could save some money but still get the same results. I signed into my wife's Pinterest account, and after weeding through random recipes, princess crap for my daughter's birthday parties, really cool shite you could build with a pallet, and DIY vibrators, I stumbled upon how to hot melt your own clubs.
I've been struggling to hit fairways on some of the shorter par 4s so I decided to hot melt my old 4 iron into a driving iron. I've also been trying to hit a draw with my driver but leaving it out right at times, so I hot melted a draw bias on my driver, while also muting the sound a touch for an overall better feel and experience. I took at least 12 RPMs of spin off the driver according to my laser eye. Results are below.
Here are the tools I had to work with
Make sure to be precise when melting. Even a fraction of an ounce of glue in the wrong spot will ruin the whole project
I was pretty happy with how it turned out
Here it is at address
Now for the driver. I wanted to add some weight toward the heel to create a draw bias. Once again, precision with the glue is key.
One of the benefits of hot melting is changing the sound and feel of the club
I couldn't be happier with the results. I took them to the driving range after and the results speak for themselves.

Spin looks closer to a 23 rpm change IMHO. Could probably improve the numbers with 0.7351 oz hot melt added to the heel.

Love the Pinterest angle. Well done, but seriously, get a new driver, and lots more loft.

Nice work!! I would recommend using glitter glue next time. The specific gravity of the glitter glue is slightly higher, creating a higher MOI and more favorable launch characteristics. It also has the added benefit of making your driver look like it just left a strip club.
Maybe my favorite thread in the short history of the golf board.

Beautiful work. Can I get a address so that I can send my clubs to you? TIA

Awww DANG BAW - you didn't even have a cig or push cart in any of your photos. Managed to squeeze in your budlight with the coozie you bought off ebay - NICE BAW.
Judging by your set up and over the top move, go ahead and get you one of these BAW - will look BAW AF in your bag and let everyone know you mean business when you roll up with your push cart.
GX7
ETA - Your wife must be happy to know that you spending quality time with your child consists of spending half your day taking pictures to get "likes" on a golf board. That's REALLY BAW DAWG

This is all fthat me and nice but I'm interested in buying the set of irons you obviously don't use.

I know you're supposedly a great player. What's your handicap? I'm a 14 but I have a sneaky suspension that once we put some money on the line that I can take you.

Real nice work Malvin, here I was thinking all you knew how to do was hit it far, make babies, and drink bud light by the case, impressive my friend, impressive

Just started playing again with some frequency.
My last 5 rounds were all between 74-79, on courses roughly 7,000 yards all with ratings of over 73.5. Used to be a lot better, but was away from the game for a while. Haven't been able to play the last month, but I'll post a scorecard for you next time I get out...maybe even a swing video for NET once he gets back from his hiatus.
