This summer I got back into playing golf again for the first time in 17 years. My swing was a little rusty but everything worked back like I had never quit in no time. Recently though I have been having issues with my right elbow hurting after a round. Yesterday I went to the range and hit a bucket, by the time I got home I couldn't even use my right arm to help the wife put groceries up. It feels like a tennis elbow type of pain. Anti-inflammatories tylenol and aleve aren't touching it. Has anyone else fought with this and how did you fix it? My game is on the upswing and I don't want this to slow me down.

Ice, rest, armband, theraband

Dry needling supposedly helps as well.

Clean up your diet to help aid the anti-inflammatories.

I'm battling a bit of radial tunnel syndrome in my elbow. I am having good luck with using several stretching & nerve glide exercises before & after activity.

Here's my understanding on the different diagnosis. YouTube will have a ton of videos on each for relief.

Tennis elbow - pain on outer boney part of elbow; bottom if palm up
Golfers elbow - pain on inner boney part; bottom if palm up
Radial Tunnel - pain in outer muscle; top if palm up

Mine is definitely the tennis/golfers elbow. I used to fight it playing baseball or if I fished a 2 day tournament. Well I don't do those anymore and had zero problems with my elbow all summer but here lately it has surfaced.

I started getting it this summer and was able to get to it early enough without it getting too bad.

I do heat/ice/thermaband when I am playing a lot.

I didn't do go this far, but I have heard good things, which I believe I heard from this board. Tyler Twist Exercises

Stretching, weighted wrist rolls, and light weightlifting helped me a lot.

Compression sleeves also helped me A LOT.

Aleve spray-on helped mine during play.

After play, ice and rest.

Anyone have anything for upper arms?

Been having stuff in the tricep area but deeper and not the actual tricep. Felt some serious pain bench pressing the other day even after serious stretch session.

Have started a lot of band work that helps some, worried it’s mostly a sleep thing but definitely exasperated by golf rounds.

I’ve had tendinitis in both of my elbows a couple of times and the first time I did the band, anti-inflammatories, ice, you name it. Finally got a cortisone should and the pain was gone in about 2 days. Went that route every time after that and shot worked every time. Honestly, I’m surprised more people don’t just go ahead with a shot. I’ve never gotten a cortisone shot for a type of tendinitis and it not work
