I've knocked one on a roof before and come close plenty of other times. No broken windows or damage though.

If you did break anything, did you offer to pay?

I've hit several houses. Not sure about a window. I've hit some balls that prob went 2-3 streets deep into a neighborhood.

I've never been approached by a homeowner after hitting a house (usually a roof). I do feel bad tho when I send a rocket into a house only to re-tee and hit the same house again.

From a legal standpoint you are obligated to pay for damages and your homeowners insurance should cover it (if it's worth claiming)

I have never broken anything but would offer to pay if I did. I have hit a roof or two and came close to a car in the driveway.

I've hit one over the netting on that back 9 par 3 at Webb during rush hour. I don't know how it avoided every car.

Broken a window before. 18 at pinewood. Beautiful draw with my 7 iron right through their kitchen. I talked to the lady and offered to pay. Later that night she called me saying not to worry about it since I was honest.

Don't know how I never hit any cars growing up learning to play on city park South course. Wisner was prime landing area for me and my buds.

So explain how I can hit a golf ball through somebody's house and not be liable? Would I not be liable for throwing a rock through someone's window as well?

The action is neither negligent, nor intentional. Golf has been deemed to be inexact enough for errant shots to not be from one's negligence.

You would be. You intentionally damaged property of another.

This. And the property owner has assumed an understanding that by buying a home adjacent to a course, they have a risk of damages from errant shots.

Never in my right mind would I buy a house on a course in a landing area.

I hit some nerd's house in northern Cali yesterday. Smoked his window and had him come out of the house like a crazy bitch throwing a fit and crying like a child. He said I owed him money. I asked him to meet me at Sonic and he ran off to write an email instead.

He talked like a fig and his shite was pretty retarded. It's cool though, he snapped a picture of me and muh baws for fap material later. I flexed my calf for his wife and flicked a cig at his dog. Dude looked weak AF.

Yes and yes

I've also hit the clubhouse at my home course while trying to hit a hero shot and hit a par 5 in two. It needed to cut, it didn't cut. Came back in bounds off the clubhouse and I chipped it to about 3 feet and made birdie

its amazing how much difference in value a house on a course can have based on where it is on an individual hole. That will never be actually priced in and the only way you would know is if you play golf.

Every course has that one house that you just shake your head and say poor bastard for buying. Usually in the corner of a dogleg where people try and cut it.

Played bartholomew and pulled a 3 wood on the first tee. Hooked it dead left into a car and it made the loudest sound. Loaded up the cart and went straight to number 3. I'm not stopping in that neighborhood to let you know I just put a nice dent in your car

Back when I hit a draw and my miss was a hook, I would hit houses at Santa Maria all the time. Sometimes, it would kick back into play for me especially on 8.
